The Foxy Butterschloss Mysteries

Linda Robertson is a media scholar, podcaster, historian, and mystery writer.

Lady Butterschloss, “Foxy” to her friend, invaded my imagination one night and blossomed into a series about a feisty, woman of a certain age, who will knock the powerful off their pedestals if it means saving those she loves–or the world. Trained as a cryptographer in World War I, she–like the other women working in signal intelligence–were ignored after the war. But Foxy refuses to stay in the shadows. She applies her brilliant decoding skills to solving murder, espionage, and peeling back the veneer of political propaganda.

A field journal serves as a space to record findings, sketch maps, and reflect on the fragments we encounter. Here, you’ll discover information about burial sites, broken amphorae, wind-weathered shrines, and underwater cities. Because archaeology isn’t just about making discoveries; sometimes, it’s about remembering.
